Produce a poster educating people about the warning signs of suicide and ways to get help. Many young people today see suicide as an option for dealing with their problems. Help us stop this alarming trend! Help others recognize the warning signs of a suicidal person, learn the risk factors, and learn what to do to help someone who may be suicidal.
You can make a difference for someone in emotional distress!
This contest is for middle schoolers interested in creating artwork that will encourage viewers to act and reach out for help if they are experiencing suicidal thoughts. The contest begins on January 8, 2024. The poster must be no larger than 22”x28”. It can be submitted in person at Alternative Paths by February 23, 2024. If the poster was designed virtually, on a platform like Canva, a digital file can be sent to dalthen@alternativepaths.org. (A photocopy of a physical poster will not be accepted as a submission and must be dropped off at Alternative Paths.)
